Music, Movies, and Books

================= Music =================
Chopin is my fav composer in terms of piano (like his Andante spianato et Grande polonaise brillante and the Waterfall Étude especially). But speaking of concertos it comes to No. 2 and No. 3 by Sergei Rachmaninoff (his preludes are so beautiful too)

In terms of orchestra works I’d say polkas by Johann Strauss II. That’s the only reason i watch Vienna New Year's Concert every year (online, hopefully I can be there physically one day).

I also like works by Two Steps from Hell and Yanni. Last year I missed one of Yanni’s concert in Toronto and still regret it :(

================ TV / Movies ===============
I’m “below average” in terms of the number of movies I watched, but there are some TV drama I love, mostly from the states and Japan:

The states:
1. Westworld: So realistic, partly because I’m a software developer? Mmmm
2. The Handmaid Tale: haven’t finish season 3 which came out pretty recently, but tbh all those scenes in Toronto are so familiar (which didn’t occur quite often for me LOL)

JP:
1. Non-anime:
Legal High リーガル・ハイ/リーガルハイ
Assassination Classroom 暗殺教室
Miracles of the Namiya General Store ナミヤ雑貨店の奇蹟

2. Anime:
Code Geass 反逆のルルーシュ
GUNDAM 00, GUNDAM seed ガンダム
Tokyo Ghoul 東京喰種
And etc.

================= Books ==================
Most of the books / articles I read are either with-some-sherlockness (as he calls it, the Science of deduction), kind-of-unreal, or all-about-nature.

So clearly I like Sherlock Holmes and all the derivatives (BBC has their Sherlock on screen, and there’s also Conan on manga).
0. Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
1. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd
2. National geographic with nice pictures and stories
3. Three bodies
4. The Left Hand of Darkness
5. The legend of galactic heroes

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made it to 60°N in winter at -45°C

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
If u happened to have a piano I can teach u (a bit?)
If u want to know some software-related stuff like Kubernetes or C++ I could

Learn:
Still learning coding and various software development stills, that’s my major
Actually I’m more than willing to learn anything I don’t know how to deal with, for example reading Latin, or fixing a malfunctioning lightbulb, gardening, piloting an airplane... stuff like those
BTW I’m very interested in experimental and theoretical science, so if u have a telescope I’d love to learn to use it
And of course photography using a phone (That’s all I have up to this point)
