About Me

******************
UPDATE (2016)
******************

Now I look back at all the stuff I wrote below when I was young, naive, bolder and with lesser responsibilities, I really can't describe the feeling, seeing how much I have grown and come so far.

Steve Jobs was right. You can only connect the dots in the future, not now. You can only look back 10 years later and know why you are doing, whatever you are doing, at this very moment.

Started a small trading business and will be taking a walk at the trade show in May. Hope to make some new friends while visiting old ones :)

CURRENT MISSION

In 2011 December, I had a dream of my future wife. Woke up and went to a fortune teller, she told me she will be a foreigner. So now i am searching around the world for my Wife

ABOUT ME

I'm kinda of hybrid between the english and chinese culture.I studied in a chinese primary school and then my parents threw me into an English based school- Victoria school, for my secondary school life. I almost drowned from the start and struggled adapting initially. But well i made it and now i looked back and realised i have to thank my parents instead :)

PHILOSOPHY

You have to appreciate life first, before life will return the favour )))

it is the people that makes your trip worthwhile not the destination

I realised its true that i rediscover my own country again when i participate in CS and guide people around, there are many places where i didn't bother to find out or go if not for CS. Oh well haha~

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

ALL my experiences with CS has been awesome so far, lets hope it keeps this way! )))

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i mostly can't host as i live with my parents whom are more conservative. But i do try to guide people around Singapore to find cheap and good food :)

Interests

cooking! Eating! Travelling!

i used to be a classic tourist and go after all the scenic stuffs.

But now i just go to places, meet up and talk to local people over tea/coffee. Best of all stay with local people to experience the real local life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a month in Egypt when i was 20.I took a cab in Cairo which cost 46EGP and did not have small change. I only had a 100EGP note and was expecting the driver to take it and not returning me the change. To my surprise, the driver just said habibi, meaning(lover/Darling) in Arabic with a smile, and allowed me to leaveIt was one of the those moments that i will always remember. even though it may seem normal to you..

In 2012 , 2 months travelling from Turkey-->Georgia->Azerbaijan-->Iran-->Jordan-->Israel was definitely memorable and life changing )))

Living for half a year in Istanbul, Turkey for my exchange in 2012 has been an awesome experience. Met many people from around the world. It was also when i was there, i discovered what is my passion in life( Learning Russian!) and how i should live life )))
