About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be inspired! :)
ABOUT ME
I'm Dutch but 'internationally-grown', enjoy company and love to explore new things. I would say I'm pretty chilled, like to laugh, and enjoy a good conversation. Open-minded and with the intention to enjoy life as much as possible. :)
A possibly important point: I eat vegan/plant-based. I don't want to enforce anything on anyone (but I'm happy to cook something delicious if you're interested!), but I once had an experience with a host who had unexpectedly already cooked for me and that caused a bit of an awkward situation that I would like to prevent.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
One of my friends in Israel ended up being a CS host, stayed with him in his house/tent.. Slept on a mat on the ground (yes ground, not floor) with a view of the tree that his tent was built around. Loved it!
Stayed with CS hosts in Florida and in different places in Spain as well. What I love about it is hanging out with locals and experiencing things you wouldn't in a hostel/hotel. And of course fellow CS-ers are generally open and interesting, making for awesome trips! :)
Interests
I love traveling, dancing (salsa, hiphop, kizomba), music, theatre, cultural anthropology, and sunny weather. My happiest moments are spent in warm places with nice people around me and nice views - be it in a town, on a beach, in the middle of nowhere, doesn't matter!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching the sun rise above the Dead Sea from the Masada viewpoint in Israel (after which an amazingly refreshing dip in the David waterfalls).
Sleeping on a hanging bed (a mattress on strings) on a hilltop by the sea in Mexico was also quite amazing.
