I'm a 37 year old filmmaker and entrepreneur who loves to meet new people and explore cultures in a meaningful way. I'm from New York City originally and currently live in Washington DC. I've lived in Guatemala where I studied Spanish and explored the country by chicken bus and Kenya where I worked with coffee farmers and climbed Mt Kenya.

When I'm travelling with friends I love good conversation, local food, finding a spot with some great live music and to dance with passion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm always looking to meet new and interesting people. When my friends come to visit, I love to show them all the little places that make the city special. As I travel, I'm hoping to have that type of experience.

Music: Everything from Folk to EDM. Think Bob Dylan, Prince, Jay-Z and any EDM artist who can make me dance. Music is all about the spirit, if it has it I love it!

Movies: I like everything from drama to action and throw in some documentaries too. Here's a few favorites: American Beauty, Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Matrix, Annie Hall

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked to the summit of Mt. Kenya, the second highest mountain in Africa at 16, 354 ft (4,985m). You begin in 90 degree heat on the equator and summit surrounded by glaciers.
