About Me

After receiving my PhD from Johns Hopkins in 2023, I am currently conducting my postdoctoral research in New York City. I have to say that my job is very boring, which makes me lose some opportunities to get along with others. I hope we can have the fate to meet each other here! 🥳

I'm a Couchsurfer and a newbie host.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I especially love traveling and meeting new people while traveling! I first got into Couchsurfing when I was traveling as a student and didn’t want to ask my parents for extra money. But Couchsurfing seems to have opened a new door, and I realized that strangers can still connect with each other in this way. The connection may be brief, but it is real. Two people from different backgrounds and different environments lived together for a short time. I really made a lot of great friends through Couchsurfing.

The magical thing about this website is that after just a few days of getting along, we subconsciously know that we will definitely part ways. On the contrary, in this case, it is easier for people to open up and exchange stories with each other without any scruples, right?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2018, I participated in a desert hike, and one of the girls was unable to persist because of physical discomfort. When we described the beauty of the starry sky in the desert on the bus on the way back, I felt the girl's loss. So my friends and I planned an "artificial starry sky"! On the bus, we pulled up the curtains, turned on the flashlights, and sang the song "Little Star" for that girl together! Very romantic isn't it!
