Hello! my name is Yitong, currently a student. As probably everyone else on this site I love traveling, meeting new people, and seeing other dimensions to this: our shared experience on Earth!

In my free time I love creating things: Pottery, Painting, Poetry, and recently some Bad Robots (please ask for pictures!), growing things: Mushrooms, Bacteria Leather, Crickets, and a Bearded Dragon, spending time outside: Birding, Backpacking, Swimming, Climbing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer I went on an mini expedition to climb el Nevado del Tolima in Colombia - it was quite the experience! Very beautiful scenery and a tough ascent - I'd love to do more mountaineering!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am trying to better my Spanish. I speak Chinese and English and happy to help teach what I can there. Also on a more technical front: I'm have a pretty decent grasp on a lotta different academic fronts: organic chemistry, cellular biology, computer science / AI, materials science, mechanical engineering. Always love to talk science with peeps! (or fix a gutter)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food! I love cooking food for people and I swear I can make some pretty decent Chinese dishes from basically any ingredients (even tortillas become stir fry in my hands).

Then I can always help build things or repair things! Handy with my hands
