About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting interesting people throughout my life

ABOUT ME

I'm an American/Israeli who's currently living in the US.

I Always love to meet new people. I'm an easy going and friendly guy, trying to make the people around me laugh and smile.

I've completed my mandatory 3 year army service, serving in the Israeli Air force.

I have a BA in Political Science and Western European Studies, and an MA in Political Marketing.

PHILOSOPHY

The thing I hate the most are those loud, large American tourists going on those stupid buses around town. My biggest achievement is when I'm in a foreign country and people approach me in the local language, thinking I'm a local and not a tourist. When I can also direct them somewhere, I'm in euphoria :)

For instance, when I was in Paris, I spent a whole day going through the small streets and sitting upon the Seine talking to Real Parisians which I never met before, instead of waiting on line for 3 hours to go up the Eiffel Tower.

As you see, I want to see the real places and people, and not the fake and touristy ones.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I usually have friends over on weekends and they get the honor to CS at my apartment, and met up with fellow CSs in Israel and around the world. I had "strangers" surfing my home but not yet though CouchSurfing. It doesn't always work out for me to host since we have a full house, yet you're welcome to ask and maybe I will be able to host you in my humble home.

Check out the url attached- I'm mentioned in the Jerusalem Post- Israel's leading newspaper in the English language.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've toured Europe via CS and Hitchhiking, and had an amazing time!!! I CSed in many different countries, though not always through Couch Surfing (mainly through friends who referred me to theirs), and even through a person I met on a plane from Paris to Morocco- each time was a whole new experience!

Interests

visited 46 countries and counting!

I love learning new languages and cultures, currently studying French and Italian.

Movies: Braveheart, American History X, the Butterfly effect, Back to the future, Angela's Ashes, Forrest Gump, Bill and Ted's amazing advetures, Stand by me, National Treasuse (both), Family Man, Broken wings, City of Angels, keeping the faith, odd movies in foreign languages in middle of the night, Juno

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

* My two Hitchhing trips in Europe, which I'll never forget, plus awesome trips to fascinating countries around the world, such as Japan, Morocco, Jamaica and more.
* Serving in the Israeli Air force.
* Learning French and Italian
* Being interviewed on Austrian and Japanese TV and Icelandic radio.
* Learning cool letters in the Icelandic AlphaBet- Æ, Ð, þ
* Living life, its something I´ve never done before and dont think I´ll be doing it again, so I try to enjoy it as much as possible!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: about myself and my country(ies). I can teach you Hebrew if you'd like, it's a really cool and awesome language - and it's written from right to left!

Learn: same as teach, just you teaching me. But in the language section I'd like to learn a little of your native language, since I already speak Hebrew :)

Share: A good time! When you come to me, I'll do my best to show you around town at night and/or day
