About Me
Hello! My name is Yivie (pronounced ee-vee)
Currently can't host anyone now but I'm down to meet up and hang out! I can show you around Vancouver, or just chill and talk about our travels. We can check out some restaurants, cafes and/or grab a beer.
If you need a hiking buddy..I'm down! I love hiking so hit me up!
I think life is short and I only get to live one life so I love meeting people from around the world and hearing their stories. Through connecting with others, I often find myself learning new things and thats what I love about it
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think meeting people living in the local area where I travel is the best way to enjoy a trip. I love hearing other people's stories, it's like a peek into another life.
While it is great to visit the famous tourist attractions, I would like to know where the best foods are sold, from experience, this is usually a small restaurant that is not listed on the travel brochures, I feel that a local will know best and can show me the hidden gems.
Interests
I'm interested in languages. I am always looking for opportunities to practice with native speakers.
In the future, I'd like to be able to understand French, Korean, German, and Spanish as well.
I really love hiking. I hike for the view. Seeing the Earths's beauty from the peak of a mountain is so satisfying
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Solo backpacking around Southeast Asia for a month.
One of the best experiences I've ever had.
Only wished it was for 3 months rather than just 1.
