Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Being a working professional while still keeping my bucket list in mind.
ABOUT ME
Cynical but nice. I am spontaneous and laid-back most of the time. I may sometimes tend to be sarcastic during the conversations but that doesn't necessarily mean I am cold and don't care about things. On the contrary, you'll find me remotely from being judgmental or difficult to get along with if you'd get to know me fairly enough. I am curious about lots of different things and enjoy stories of almost all kinds. I'm not a big fan of social network stuffs and think face-to-face meet-ups and communications are much more lovely.
PHILOSOPHY
"I wanna be a non-conformist."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing, meeting people, making friends
Have had several CS meet-ups in Shanghai and took some of the visitors to the places that I think worth seeing in the city since registered on CS.
Had my first surfing experience in Vladivostok where I started my solo trans-Siberian trip in Aug. 2015. Since then, the surfing experiences have been nothing but sweet and unforgettable.
Interests
I love gigs and music festivals. I enjoy art exhibitions and films. However, I'm kinda picky about these above.
Though I haven't been playing the violin as much as I used to, it is still part of my life.
Taking pictures has been my new passion. I'm definitely amateur at it but just enjoy capturing meaningful moments. (Just in case someone would actually be interested in the pictures that I've taken, you may refer to the archive here, https://500px.com/julyzhang429)

Too many bands/artists to name and so just gonna list down some genres,

The album, The earth is not a cold dead place by Exposions in the sky has been the most important one to me so far.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen a Tibetan sky burial for 4 hours with eventually tears streaming down unconsciously.
Teach, Learn, Share
Different experiences and perspectives. Witty or even "deep" conversations can sometimes be really touching and inspiring, given the good ones I had with the few CSers I've encountered so far.
What I Can Share with Hosts
You'd probably find out I'm alright for talks. Think I won't bore you. I'll be most likely in the right mood to be taken to your favourite food place or go for a drink while am travelling.
