Overview
About Me
Being brought up in the world of sports, I love adventures, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. As I played water polo for the state team back home and met multiple international teams, I am now eager to learn about the world through travelling and immersing myself in local communities. There is nothing I enjoy better than a conversation and learning something new.
The one thing I yearn to learn is how the historical context of a country affected its modern society and culture. Hence, I tend to prefer thorough travels, meeting with locals instead of just travelling for sightseeing :)
I look forward to meeting new friends, going to new places and am always up for an adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books
YouTube covers by Pentatonix and KurtHugoSchneider
I love how they are able to explore music in different ways and redesign songs to make them sound better than the originals.
Harry Potter (I'm a PotterHead!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I study and live at United World College, together with over 100 nationalities on campus. This is where I learn about different cultures, norms and traditions, constantly exchanging world views and ideas with students from all over the world.
Living in a room together with a Dutch, Honduran and Bolivian roommates, I have definitely heard a lot about issues from Latin America, how the indigenous people have less rights but yet again they strive to live in harmony and I have also learnt a lot about the local Dutch culture, as my roommate teaches me these through food sharing.
It is here that I learnt that everybody has different stories to share. And these are the moments, which I truly cherish and look forward to exchanging more such conversations.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my charisma, great sense of humour (sometimes a little bit sarcastic), and stories from back home where I lived in a multicultural society as well as from campus. I love animals and could perhaps play a few musical pieces on the piano as entertainment. I am in general just a great company to share a drink with, chill and share stories!
