About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To Live. To Love. To Learn.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in China and have been studying abroad in Singapore since 2010. I have always been open-minded towards new experiences in my life, and been travelling around and doing quite a few overseas projects since I entered university, through which I have really enjoyed myself by meeting new people and experiencing different lifestyles. I see myself as an independent, sensible, tolerant and outgoing young adult, and my friends often find me very interesting with unique views and stories.
PHILOSOPHY
Throughout these years I have been trying to take good care of myself while pursuing my real passions in life . For me the meaning of life is to experience not the best but the most, and only in this way would I ever be able to live my life to the fullest.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I first heard of CS from some friends in uni, and so far I have been surfing only as I currently stay in student hostel and unfortunately cannot really host anyone. Hopefully I'll be able to offer a couch after I get my own house in the future :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I tried CS quite a few times when I was travelling around Ukraine and Australia. I surfed in various cities there and met lots of very nice and interesting hosts as well as their friends. It was such awesome experience that I really can't wait to do it again! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
For music I mainly listen to pop, pop rock, country and also a bit of jazz. I go for concerts every now and then, be it pop or classical music. I watch various movies, regardless of genre, and like to read novels, collections of short stories and essays. Basically I may enjoy anything that young folks are likely to enjoy, and just to name a few: Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Woody Allen, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, The Script, Norah Jones, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- watched sunrise and went for concerts at different places in the world: really enjoyable and unforgettable experiences
- wrote to J.K.Rowling and heard back from her after eight months: I had almost forgot about it by then lol
- did Postcrossing for a few years: exchanging postcards with people all over the world
- studying abroad in Singapore till now: basically has changed my life
- being a Couchsurfer of course! :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm more than happy to share my own culture and life journey with whomever interested. Everyone can teach and learn in one way or another, and I believe that we'll definitely have a great time together learning from each other :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
cultures, languages, life journey, knowledge, skills, etc.
I used to cook traditional Chinese dishes and write Chinese calligraphy for my CS hosts while staying with them, and we had a great time showing each other our pictures in the past and sharing our life stories.
