Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Writing a book about my research trips and experiences as a couch surfing student and how that enabled me to go farther, longer and facilitated me meeting some of the characters that shaped and molded some of my research's most profound outcomes. Titled "CS Enabled Field Trips Abroad"
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I have mostly had coffee with members but that's about to change as I will officially start hosting now that my new place in Taipei just got all "comfy-ied" up with an extra couch and everything. I am used to hosting friends of friends already who come to Taiwan but now that I have gotten enough hosting practice and I am not as shy to show people around the city so I figured I am now ready to officially do so as a full fledged Couch Surfing experience.
Interests
Reading rare books, watching banned movies and taking pictures of things that supposedly don't exist.
Well that's what I would like to do if I could get some time off from Learning Chinese and Understanding the Chinese Business culture and how it differs from most Western business cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traffic rules are like Pirate laws in certain parts of Taiwan - mere guidelines that nobody follows especially in small towns. One day a rare thing happened, in the middle of this crusty loose-tooth dislodging bumpy road a tiny wild red rose just sprouted up out of nowhere in total full bloom - nobody would run over it. It stopped traffic better than any red light I had ever seen! That day as it so happens it was the first day of school exams, hoards of bleary eyed kids who hadn't slept for days shuffled and stumbled as they crossed the road haphazardly to school just ten yards down the road. Coincidence, you be the judge.

How did Houdini fool all those people for so many years, to me that is the greatest magic trick he ever pulled!
