About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Making every moment a work of art

ABOUT ME

Currently living in Japan, Tokyo to study Tea Ceremony and Calligraphy.

Simply speaking I am artist. My approach is committed politically, ecologically and spiritually. I am a humanist aware of the environment, walking towards an absolute.

If you want to see my work you can check my website : www.ymynigris.com. I have an artistic name.

I practice Ashtanga Yoga and also sing (for now, just for my self, not ready yet to sing in front of others. it is one of my goals though).

PHILOSOPHY

"As the sakura is the greatest flower, the warrior is the greatest man" Japanese proverb

"Live as if you were going to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were going to live forever" Confucius

"There are no facts, only interpretations." Nietzsche

Things like Wardruna or Avor Pärt also...

Books? The mysanthrothist of Molière. The way of the Pacific Warrior of Dan Millman. The alchemist of Paolo Cuelho. All Nieztche's (I haven't read all his books, but I love his philosophy). The treaty of the 5 rings of Miyamoto Musashi.
I like to read books about art as well.

Art? Carravaggio, Bacon, Schiele, mains of the romantics, Michel-Angelo, zen art, land art,... many more but I have problems to remember names...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Japan marked me! I was young and it was one my dreams to go to Japan. The Misu Temple was one of the incredible things I could see there.

A visit marked my life. It's the Concentration Camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

The desert in Marroco, cannot say more then it was one of the most incredible things I have experienced... Can't wait to go back.

Simple discovering Ashtanga Yoga. A life change!

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy talking, philosophizing, exchanging ideas and thoughts.
I can share my knowledge (that has its limits) on photography.
I can teach a lot of cocktails!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I guess the first thing is food. I really enjoy cooking for others. Sharing a nice dinner is one of the simply things of life that I really enjoy.

I guess at some point I'll be able to share some yoga and hopefully one day shiatsu as well. But Right now I too much of an apprentice to pretend teaching this.
