If you are looking for surfing opportunities I have decided to set some more boundaries for this season:

- I only accept females and/or couples/families. No males alone or in groups. This is discriminating I know, you are probably nice guys, but it's a safety precaution for me living alone. You will get no or no answer if you ask anyway.
- I don't need a gift, but I really appreciate if you take the time to cook for me. I can provide ingredients, but I prefer if you come up with the recipe. If you don't know how to cook, then please take the time to look up a recipe to suggest and we can cook it together. I prefer to eat dinner between 17-19. I am a bit picky, so try to avoid eggs, blue cheese and wheat pasta ;-)
- Please respect my time and try to arrive before 22 in the evening. Between 16-18 is the optimal window to arrive.
- I don't host on weekends, this includes the night between Sunday and Monday. I usually have other plans around this time.

ABOUT ME

I hope to learn as much as I can. Whether it's science or geographical conflicts, I want to find an understanding and reason for things. I believe it's in interactions with people with different views of life that I can get the best understanding of the world, and the most out of my life.

PHILOSOPHY

I want everyone to be happy. And to be happy, I think people need to follow their dream, and not be held back by what they think is their "duty". I am lucky to be born in a rich country with freedom, and hope one day everyone will have the same opportunities. I think traveling is important for building character, which also makes me interested in alternative fuels.

Has couch surfed in Frankfurt am Main through hospitalityclub.org and hosted a few people in my hometown Ulvik and in Athlone.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Kizomba, bachata, salsa and raggaeton!! However, my favourite band is the Norwegian indie pop-band Minor Majority, and I also enjoy pop and electronic (I looove Röyksopp and the Prodigy) music.

Movies: Lost in Translation, Forrest Gump, The Story of the Weeping Camel, Kill Bill 1&2, Star Wars, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, documentaries. Not very picky about movies.

Books: A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah, Isabel Allende, Jostein Gaarder, The Wheel of Time-series by Robert Jordan, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind, Wild Swans by Jung Chang, The Kitchen God's Wife by Amy Tan, HappinessTM by Will Ferguson and of course... the Harry Potter-series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Everytime I swim in the fjord of my hometown is amazing. I dare you to join me any time of the year!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am constantly practicing my Spanish to "mejorar" - so I would love to practice this. Also German, Italian and Portuguese are languages I hope to speak better!

I love dancing, and have danced salsa regularly for a few years. I would love to teach you some basic salsa, bachata or kizomba - and/or bring you to an event for it!

I am also studying microbiology and am in particular interested in fungi - if you're up for it we could set up a culture to grow oyster mushrooms!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Dancing, DIY mushroom cultivation, gardening tips and tricks, composting, food intolerance-friendly cooking (I am not currently staying away from anything 100%, but have a lot of experience in avoiding wheat/gluten, eggs, dairy, soy, fruit etc... If you want advice!)

I also work as a YogAlign instructor, so if you want to improve your posture I'd love to work with you on that :-)
