About Me

I am a Bulgarian who likes to travel a lot. I work as a software engineer and recently found a job that allows me to work remotely, which as been a dream of mine for a while. I want to take advantage of that and travel for extended periods of time while working at the same time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to this but I want to be able to travel for long periods of time and experience different places more fully than the usual one weekend. I would also like to meet new people, hear some different opinions and finally find the meaning of life perhaps.

I am particularly interested in travelling around the United States, especially the deep South, also Southern Europe, Russia and South East Asia.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not big on music in general but I can enjoy a gig. I actually quite enjoy the symphony as old fashioned as it may sound.

I absolutely love cinema, both the run of the mill Hollywood movie and the more obscure European cinema. I don't have a favourite but I love some Russian and Serbian movies, a lot of old Bulgarian movies. In terms of the mainstream I love scifi but I can actually enjoy anything, including shows.

I love reading and I feel I don't do it enough. Some old favourites are Vonnegut books, Milan Kundera, Dostoevsky and I also usually read non-fiction - i.e. politicical or historical literature, psychology (e.g. Zimbardo).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've visited Chernobil. That was pretty amazing actually! Iceland comes in as the second most amazing thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure I have anything to offer as a teacher but I am always willing to share "deepities"!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Going out, cooking and talking about the world and how life kinda sucks in so many ways.
