Hi, I'm Joana! I am a positive and adventurous person and I love travelling. I have lived in 5 different countries and truly love to integrate into the local culture. Currently I live and study in Bonn, Germany.
I've done couschsurfing with friends before and have been putting off creating my own profile for a while, but finally I'm excited to go on my own.
When I travel, I plan ! Even when I backpack, hike and camp - there is an end destination and researched stops. But I'm also adaptable. You have to be, when you travel as much.
I understand that it's tricky to decide to let a stranger in your home. But I promise to consider my host's schedule and rules.

I love travelling alone, but the best thing about it is to experience the authentic local culture - no better way than with a local person ^^

Interests

Like I said, I love travelling. Sometimes I need to competely switch off and get away from all my stress, responsibilities and last but not least, social media. Then I pack a backpack and head off into nature. 🏕 But sometimes I'm more focused on city tourism. I go to museums to learn about different cities' history, but I also enjoy art galleries.
I'm usually not a night owl, I need my sleep. 😴 But when I travel, I function on a totally different speed. Also, whenever I do go out, I have lots of fun. I often go to pubs 🍻 and just chill with my friends over some beers and nice conversations. But I don't like clubs.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Forever Rock 'n' Roll, I love local bands - the ones that can really set the mood in a pub; also metal 🤘naturally Metallica since I was 11 and the newest favorite addition - Sabaton

Movies - I'm a huge fan of The Oscars! 🏆 Spotlight, The Chicago Trial, Green Book etc. I watch the ceremony annually and the majority of the nominated films. I love everything by Quentin Tarantino, The Hateful Eight most of all! I can talk about movies and series for hours

Books - any Stephen King novel, "King Rat" by James Clavell is deifinitely in my top 5, I love crime &mystery novels, childhood passion: Harry Potter of course
