HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have only 35 references while I have hosted over 60 travelers that means over 25 travelers didnt even bother to thank me on my CS page. For some I paid taxi fare for them to go to airport and among them some are yet to even say 'Hi' after reaching their country safe. But that's ok because even if they didn't give me anything, their presence was a gift.

Many CSers fell sick by the time they arrived at my house (maybe because they ate something outside or due to country change) and I took care of them. I have to say CS in India is not easy.

Various kinds of weird guests you see.

So have made it all beautiful and some have just didn't bothered. Some even dare to write bad about me because I called out their flaws in my reference for them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The purpose why I do it or did it, does not always come out with every guests and ONLY10% of them get the purpose of it...

Rest all are just using the services and are free loaders.
In case you just want a corner to rest, a shelter, (maybe you dont have money), save money for a long travel, hitch hiker then do let me know before in your request and may be I would give you some space, if I like you and wouldnt expect you to share/talk/do anything.

What I want my guests to be like? Kindly, be open minded. Keep the space clean. Be interactive (if you dont know the language, its still OK but give efforts). Be giving while you take as you must understand that everything I have in my house costs me money, time and effort. Adhere to the rules of the house and be a part of it. Try to replace in kind, the stuff you have been using in my house. Kindly don't use my personal hygiene care products like my trimmer/shaver.

Two negative references I got because, I first wrote them a negative review. They were free loaders. If I didnt write a bad review for them then maybe they wouldnt have even bothered to write anything. Sad...

Anyway.. you are welcome if you get the purpose of couchsurfing.
