I live in the Bay Area. I am grew up in India. Moved to upstate New York for graduate school and was there for 6 years. After teaching college for two semesters, I came to Bay Area and have been here for the last 6-7 years.

I like to spend time outdoor, and I like to meet people and make friends. I like to do hiking, cycling, swimming, running, some circus sports (slackline and juggling), and just play around on a beach or elsewhere.

I am quiet. Not much of a party person, but they are fun some times. I like learning people's life stories and sharing mine with them; and I find small groups more conducive to that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel in a low key way; for example, taking public transport and asking people for directions and fun things to explore. I would love to meet people from locality to learn about the place and share my neighborhood with people visiting!

Interests

I love hiking, biking, running etc. Pretty much anything outdoors.

Recently, I have been reading Malcolm Gladwell's books (Outliers, David and Goliath, Tipping Point) and learning a lot of counterintuitive facts about human experience!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Walked the streets of a city I was living in from after dinner until 4am.
- Hiking the South Rim of Grand Canyon.
