About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be a person of the world. Drop the comforts of home and find out what else is out there.

ABOUT ME

I am just beginning my travels at 26. I decided to quit my job and head out about a year ago and it remains the best decision of my life. I am a Colorado native but have spent time in Arizona for school and worked in New Mexico as a Fire Fighter. The last two years I worked at a level one trauma center in Denver and loved every minute of it. These days I am living in Australia (at least for the next year) I was accepted for a Work/holiday visa so I will be looking to travel and work throughout the country for the year. I don't really have any solid plans after that, but plan on staying on the move while $ lasts.

PHILOSOPHY

"Why not?!" This is a way of life. Im healthy, adventurous, and ready to see what this beautiful world has to offer! There are more reasons to travel than not, more reasons to make friends than enemies, more reasons to smile than frown.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to learn and share cultures. I have found over the time that I have spent traveling so far that there are SO many amazing things that you can gain from travel. I would love to meet as many people as I can while I am on the move so that I can hopefully host them when they are in an area that I am familiar with.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just crashed on a few peoples couches but none through Couchsurfing.com

Interests

Fishing, camping, hiking, dancing, making strangers friends, people watching, attempting to boogie board, reading, trying anything new. I'm game for whatever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sat on the beach on the Gold Coast at 6AM and had a perfect stranger come up and sit next to me in silence as we enjoyed the sunrise. Played soccer on the beach at Byron Bay with people from 6 different countries as the sun set. Did a skydive jump over the beach on Coffs Harbour. Seen the sun circle the sky in Alaska for 24 hours, while fishing under the midnight sun.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyone has something to offer. Learning and teaching are two of the most valuable things you can get out of travel. Talking with a stranger can teach you so much.
