ABOUT

I am an avid Yoga practitioner and practice Gayatri Japa to the Sunrise/Midday/Sunset and love to recite Vedic Mantras and meditate on Sanskrit texts. Everyday this last summer I stood waist deep in the James River doing my Noon meditation. Really invigorating. Our ancient ancestors were tuned in.
I love outdoor life and live in a rustic cabin in the mountains. I am currently adding Sanskrit text to the Living Gita a translation of the Bhagavadgita by Swami Satchidananda.
I also offer programs in chanting and Yoga practice around the country when I get a chance to move about.
Lived in NYC for long time. Too long. But when I am in a city like that I love cultural things like museums especially art. Now I get the chance to go to DC once in a while and stay overnight. Hmmm, maybe I'll look for a couch there......
Give me half a chance and I'll be out in the woods picking wild food and no one will hear of me for months or maybe more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled Europe when I was a dancer and would take company class in a new destination and after dancers from companies would offer me a place to stay. I did this throughout Europe.
Also being strongly involved in Yoga I also stayed with many Yogis throughout Europe, USA & India

Intereses

All kinds of outdoor activities like Kayaking, hiking or just being in nature. I also want to get back on my Unicycles. I have one here in the mountains and one in Chennai. Just learned how to hoola hoop. Art. Real life. Dance & Dancing. Foraging. Snow Sledding.

Música, películas y libros

I like movies, music & books. I much prefer movies that are historical or true like documentaries. I adore YouTube moving over to Vimeo due to Google's recent practices.

Rather just enjoy nature tho. Nothing in this world beats Yoga, everything else seems like second hand experience.

Oh, I can encourage sincere people with Yoga & Chanting skills. But if I bring my Unicycle I'll be really happy to teach that skill. At your own risk of course, I take no responsibility for what could happen falling off. My Uni's are kinda on the big side for learning.
