HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm very new to couchsurfing, but I really identify with the overall vision of connecting people... think of what the world would be like if we all considered each other family.
My most immediate motivation for participating is finding some cool people to stay with or show me around while I'm traveling in Brazil. But I'm already excited about hosting someone in return when I get back to the states.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The only contact I've had with couchsurfing so far have been stories from friends who have participated. I know 2 hardcore, avid couchsurfers who swear by couchsurfing. And a couple others who have just tried it once. So far, it's all been positive... I guess that's why I'm here. :)

Since I'm in Brazil now, I'm pretty obsessed with Brazilian things. Movies and music especially... my Portuguese has just recently gotten good enough to start reading books, but I intend to start soon!

Some specifics: Tropa de Elite 1 & 2, O homem que copiava, Cidade de deus, Meu nome não é johnny,
Cazuza, timbalada, martinho da vila, elis regina, olodum, maria rita, gabriel pensador, samba em geral, some funk, many more...

Learning is one of my passions... I love learning new things. Right now I'm learning portuguese, capoeira and percussion.

What can I teach you? Depends on what you already know. :) I'm not an expert at too many things, but I think we all learn so much just by getting to know a person that I'm sure we both have a lot to offer.
