I left the UK around 3 years ago and after around 1.5 years of travelling I ended up in beautiful NZ which is where I now live in work.

I met my girlfriend Frances here who is a kiwi. She got me into sailing and shortly after we bought our very own 11m (36 foot) yacht - Jim Young design. Our Marina is now based in Wellington City Central (CBD).

We have both travelled a fair bit. I have cycled 5000km across Europe, Everest base camp (both of us have) and rode many motorbikes across countries including India.

Sailing is now my main passion, along with exploring the Marlborough Sounds, wildlife, fishing and flying.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love meeting new like-minded backpackers, especially those with similar interests.

One of the coolest most interesting guys we had stay with us was a chap called Ed who is unicycling across the World!

We are not always on the boat or in the area so can't always accommodate.
