Im Yoli- 1/2 South African 1/2 Indian- brought up as a Kiwi in New Zealand and now residing in Sydney Australia (yip thats a mouthful).

I am a lover of nature, adventure, culture, animals, healthy living and travel. My goal is to explore the world one small step at a time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel the world but in a way that lets me experience the local and cultural side of travel- this is a great way to do just that. It gives me the opportunity to learn about others and others about my culture

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music- I know that sounds like a basic answer but it is my truth. My favourite artists range from Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash, The Eagles, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Bink182, Tupac, Santana, Tash Sultana, Ravi Shankar....the list goes on and on. I love all music because it all has its place in the world. I love listening to music in other languages too as I find it all so beautiful.

My favourite books are: The Secret, The Four Agreements, The Alchemist and Eat Pray Love

My Favourite Movies- I love comedies and action movies but I am a die-hard Marvel Fan

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteer a lot- with elderly, with children, with animals- I am huge on giving back..but I think its most rewarding for me if anything :)

I want to learn all about different cultures-customs, language, food...you name it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have studied communications and English and I am always happy to help teach this ( I used to be a tutor in NZ)
I am a fantastic cook and don't mind sharing some family recipes :)
