Overview
About Me
I need at least 24 hours of notification for me to consider a request. ABOUT ME Well. I'm Jen. I like to travel. I've lived in Chicago, KC, Amherst (MA), and now Minnesota. I’ve visited many of our nation's states, lived in London and Paris, been to Spain, Wales, Holland, Egypt, Switzerland and Israel. Would love to get out of the country again. I have a small service floof (to stay here, you must be okay with off-duty service puppo snuggles). PHILOSOPHY Don't be an asshole. People will still be assholes to you, but at least you'll have the satisfaction of being the bigger person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Offering to host people mostly on weekends due to my work schedule (very early mornings). COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've couchsurfed in many places, but my favorites are tied for Egypt and Philadelphia. In Philly the couch was comfy, the breakfast plentiful and the friends bountiful and full of awesome. In Egypt, I stayed on a not-so-comfy couch in Cairo, but having one of my best friends as a tour guide when she wasn't at work kicked ass. The Manakeesh Express was plentiful, as was the food from the Egyptian falafel/fuul place around the corner. The sights were amazing.

Music, Movies, and Books
This list could go on for miles. I watch a lot of movies. I steal all my father's good books. I buy him gifts of books only to steal them later. My musical tastes are broad. And I cannot resist a good People magazine every once in a while.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most amazing things seen have been all the history. In Cairo, Luxor, Paris, London, Israelistine . . . all of it.
Most amazing thing I'm doing? Helping solve medical mysteries for sick children in a nationally ranked pediatric hospital.
Teach, Learn, Share

Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal (Christopher Moore)
A View from the Cheap Seats (Neil Gaiman)
Being Peace (Thich Nhat Hanh)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Epic nerdiness, and given enough time, I could probably crochet you a nice scarf or hat. I also have mad makeup skills.
