Overview
About Me
I'm Yonatan, 26, been living in Israel my whole life.
I'd say I'm a laid back and a generally positive person and I always love meeting new people around the world. Three and a half years ago I was on a 5 month trip through South America where I first experienced Couchsurfing in its fullest - being hosted by several people and participating hangouts and events and I'd love to experience it once more.
I am currently a materials engineering and chemistry student at Tel Aviv University, finishing my third year of studies.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I an hoping to come across different cultures and people, and learn the differences between how we look at the world and how others do. Maybe even apply some of it in my life.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a very vast taste in music: I love The Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, Bad Bunny, Jorja Smith and recently got into Billie Ellish.
Israeli music and artisis such as HaYehudim (rock band), Arik Einstein, TheAngelcy and lots others.
And I even like mainstream pop and reggaetón (whatevers usually on the radio)!
I'm a huge movie fan, I'd say I go to the movies a few times a month which I consider quite a bit.
I'd say my favorite is The Dark Knight by Christopher Nolan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had a 5 month long journey that ended due to COVID in 2020. There are so many experiences and people I have met along the way (some presented in my profile photos)!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a bit of Hebrew or alternatively English, a bit about the mixture of culture that is the israeli culture.
I can also share my life experiences!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share aome of my military experiences and explain how life is like in our little country..
I can make some traditional Israeli food like shakshuka or chicken schnitzels.
Otherwise some interesting conversations about life and whatnot, I'd love to chat!
