Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To cultivate self-love, invite the unknown, and learn from beautiful strangers
ABOUT ME
Student-dabbler-lover-traveler-schemer. I love collecting stories and philosophies and skills and connecting with other people. I aim to appreciate the absurdity and beauty of life, and to better understand myself through my and other's experiences.
I like "real, honest living," by which I mean talking, acting, and doing honestly. I am also drawn to simpler lifestyles -- ones in which you have to chop your own wood, build your own house, and the like.
Oh, and I also love mystery! I love thinking about, courting, and giving myself over to the incredible unknown which surrounds us and being humbled by it. On this note, I'm fascinated by anything which allows us tap into the unknown, be it through magic, philosophy, meditation, or...who knows
My housemates and I have moved to Taos to lay the foundations for a future art commune somewhere in America. We spread our time between commune discussions, art-practices, and our jobs (I work as a line-cook). In those other hours, I would love to hang out!
PHILOSOPHY
The most sacred responsibilities we have as mortal individuals are striving to know and accept ourselves in all our flawed beauty and giving voice to that inexpressible us-ness. To achieve this is to have lived well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
On my year off of school I surfed a few times and was greeted with ultimate hospitality, and now I'm looking to explore the other side of the equation.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As a surfer, I have been unconscious on beds and couches. Looking to expand my horizons and try out hammocks, roofs, and tatami mats.
