ABOUT ME
My name is Yoni Vasilevski (Yoni is a short for Yonatan). Currently I study at the Ort College in Jerusalem in the 12th grade. In school I learn in a special class/program called Mofet, and I like it very much because it teaches us how to organize ourselves better because of increased stress that is a result of studying many science subjects at once. For instance, I study physics, chemistry and computer science. I chose the first two subjects because they interest me, however, I had to choose between biology and computer science and I knew that in biology I will have to memorize many terms, so I just went with the computer science class. In addition the Mofet class has a project that allows some of my friends and me to start our B.A. at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in the 10th grade, so I studied in the university two different Programming Languages (C++ & MATLAB) and then quit the university..
That was all about my studies, now I can peacefully introduce the other side of me. ☺
I have two brothers (25 and 21 years old), the eldest currently studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and he studies for a first degree in Physics. My second brother got with the Mofet program his B.A. in Chemistry, now he serves in the army as a Chemist.
In the summer of 2011 I passed a unique course that qualified me to guide groups in field trips. This course is given by the Ministry of Education of Israel, and it`s goal is to connect teenagers to our homeland and develop their sense of "community service". Also I think I have to say that the course is led by teachers (that are also guides) of a special subject that aim to pass the love for the Israeli land (it is called here Shelach). Now I am a part of young Shelach guides group. In addition, the group organizes a lot of fun activities, some of them is actually volunteering in public places such as hospitals and houses for disabled.
The most entertaining thing that we do at home is hosting people from around the world. Most people think that it is crazy to bring home people and let them stay at my house, however it is great fun to talk to people from around the globe.
Furthermore, we already hosted around 20 people in the past three years, and sometimes they came in groups of four people, I have to say it is much better when they come in groups because the can talk within themselves.
PHILOSOPHY
Smile More & Just Do It are my mottos.
