Overview
About Me
Web Developer/Designer by trade. I love working with plant medicines, herbs, spices and foods that heal. I'm passionate about many things, all of which I'll be happy to share with whomever is interested.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm returning to my adopted home on Vashon Island, Washington after 5 years living, working, learning and playing Latin America with my wife Robin and whatever animal friends we've adopted along the way. I'm looking forward to connecting with old friends and acquaintances on Vashon and being guided by the magic there...
Interests
Helping others in ways that I am uniquely suited -- my path involves working with medicinal plants, designing healing protocols and using my life experience to share in ways that enrich the lives of those around me. I enjoy natural living, solving complex problems and being/bringing the radically honest essence of me into this waking world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have an eclectic taste in all music; I grew up listening primarily classic rock, conscious hip hop. classical, jazz and whatever my parents listened to in the 60's, 70's and 80's ... some of my favorite artists include: Cat Stevens, Krishna Das, KRS-1, Quincy Davis, and anything I can bob my head to ... lots going on in my music collection.
Movies: many of my favorite movies are based on novels and are stories about real people doing real things. [ The Razor's Edge, MASH, Legends of the Fall, Into the Wild ... to name a few.]
Books: This Perfect Day by Ira Levin, Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig, The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, The Dancing Wu-Li Masters & The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav ... any of Mantak Chia's books...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drank Ayahuasca in Ecuador 3 nights in a row around the new moon for about 6 months. Participated in various plant medicine ceremonies that taught me more about myself and allowed me to dig deeper into my inner world than I suspect 30 years of psychotherapy could have offered. ALSO a 10-day Vipassana sit in Cuenca, Ecuador that challenged me to stretch to places I didn't know possible.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: self healing
Learn: more about myself and others
Share: whatever inspires me in the moment
What I Can Share with Hosts
