About Me

First of all, Taiwan is a country, not a province of China. Thank you.

Hi! You can call me Yoyo (my English name is Abby). I love meeting genuine people and having a nice conversation over a walk or a cup of tea, whether it's about cultures, life stories or anything.
When it comes to traveling, I enjoy slow travel the most, taking time to know the city and its people.
I'm currently studying in the Netherlands with my partner, Sahana. We are very excited about exploring Europe this year.
We believe that couchsurfing is a cultural exchange. We want to hear about your life, and we want to share what we know about Taiwan, and life in general.
Update: Currently back in Taipei myself due to a family emergency. Will be in Taipei for several months myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting open-minded people around the world, and finding my community when I explore a new country.
While travelling, I'm keen to connect with local people and get to know how it's like to live there. While I'm home, I like to meet travellers, exchange our stories.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m interested in contemporary history, particularly the transition from authoritarianism to democracy, as I’ve been self-studying transitional justice in Taiwan. I’d love to learn more about your country and share my knowledge with you. Can also teach you Mandarin, Taiwanese or English :)
