Overview
About Me
I grew up in a very small town in Northern California but I have been lucky enough to experience different cultures through travel. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures and and I think that couchsurfing is an amazing way to do this!
My cousin and I are traveling through Southeast Asia and we want to meet as many people as we can along the way. We thought couchsurfing would be a great way to do this!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Last year I took an amazing 2 month trip through South America with my sister and we met all kinds of people through couchsurfing. They showed us the coolest places to eat and helped us navigate the crazy airport transport and gave us a place to sleep. We fell in love with the couchsurfing community and I want to be able to grow that community around the world.
Interests
Yoga, travel, capoeira, tasting great food, adding names to my ever growing list of books to read, and subsequently crossing those names off once I have read them, cooking anything and everything, except eggplant. I love playing music, though I'm horrible at it. I love hearing travel stories and learning new things about cultures. I love swimming, especially when it comes with an adventure down a river or to a waterfall. The night sky, hiking, discovering secret spots. Couchsurfing, of course!

Music, Movies, and Books
Harry Potter fanatic right here. Poetry, of any kind. Anything Earnest Hemingway ever wrote. BFG.
Music: I like it all! That's a lie, but I like almost all of it and I love finding new artists and sharing my favorite artists with people too.
Movies: How to Train Your Dragon, The Lion King, Almost Famous, Moulin Rouge, The Great Escape, The Lord of the Rings, Amelie
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time I hiked into the mountains with a friend to find an ancient Incan temple that was in the side of a mountain and very much off the beaten track. When we found it he told me of the ancient spiritual traditions of the Incans that had used this cave. I was able to sit in a carved out seat in the side of the wall, close my eyes and and place my hands on the line etched in the rock that held energy from the Incans that had used this cave over 500 years before. It was a beautiful experience and I will remember that peaceful feeling forever.
