About Me
Hi! My name is Yousef.
I’m a programmer who works remotely, which gives me the freedom to travel and work from different places. Because of my job I don’t have to stay in one city, so I enjoy exploring new countries and meeting people from different cultures.
I’m originally from Iran and I come from the Turkish-speaking region of the country. My native language is Azerbaijani Turkish, which is very similar to the language spoken in Azerbaijan.
Personality-wise I’m calm, respectful and easygoing. I usually enjoy quiet environments, good conversations and learning about people’s stories and experiences. At the same time I have a good sense of humor and like to keep things relaxed and friendly.
Languages I speak:
• Azerbaijani Turkish – native
• Persian – fluent
• English – conversational
• Turkish (Turkey) – I understand quite well, but speaking is still a bit difficult for me.
I live in Tabriz and if I’m there and available, I’m happy to host travelers as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me traveling is not only about seeing places, but about meeting people and understanding local culture.
Hotels are comfortable, but meeting locals gives a completely different experience. I enjoy hearing people’s stories, learning about their cities, and discovering places that tourists usually don’t know about.
I’m also very curious about local food and traditions.
