About Me
CURRENT MISSION
A fish, a fish, a fishy OOOOH!
ABOUT ME
Back in New Zealand, and back amongst the working. The travel side has taken a bit of a break of recently, but I am hoping to plan a trip or two when I can.
PHILOSOPHY
To enjoy and experience life.
Interests
Currently learning to unicycle, though I admit I need to be far more disciplined. But at some point, hopefully, I will be an expert and then perhaps I can join the circus. I have also been attending a language course to improve basic German beyond "Hallo", "Aufwiedesehn' and "ein Bier, Bitte". I still have that confused look on my face but I can get around when required.
I also enjoy my sport, especially my football. I also run, though I wouldn't say I am a serious runner, but I admit I have pondered doing a marathon, maybe a half marathon to begin.
Like many people I am always partial to a good whisky or beer. To be honest I am partial to most things, or I would at least try it once.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies, lots really too numerous to name them all. But a few highlights would include Harvey, American Beauty, Little Miss Sunshine, Amelie, Juno, Donnie Darko, Malice in Wonderland, American History X, Four Rooms...the list goes on. Probably should include a few TV series such as Black Books, Green Wing, The Sopranos, Monty Pythons Flying Circus, and The League of Gentlemen.
Music, I am into most things really, or at least am willing to give things a go. But if you want me to name a few Ben Harper, Vampire Weekend, Fat Freddys Drop, The Antlers, Pink Floyd, Beethoven, Fleet Foxes, Beirut, The Black Keys, Shihad, Iron and Wine, David Bowie, Florence and the Machine, Midlake, Dirty Projectors, Feist, The Gossip, Kings of Convenience, Mozart, Louis Armstrong, The Postal Service...hmmm I think that is enough.
Books, I probably don't read as much as I should. But some of my favourite books include Fight Club, Calvin and Hobbes, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, George's Marvelous Medicine, Less than Zero, Maus, Disgrace, Brave New World, Mr Landen Has No Brain, Before and After.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Um, would probably have to mention zip lining in Laos at the Gibbon Experience. Essentially you get yourself into a harness and are attached to a steel cable where you fly between fixed points in the canopy sometimes 50-100m off the ground. Brilliant.
