Overview
About Me
I've explored my interests in different areas including literature, sociology and Fintech before I finally let go of societal expectations and started to purse my passion in fitness. Now I coach nomads I meet on the road, and build a community around my podcast Curious Barbell exploring the science of training, career path in the fitness industry and what it means to have a meaningful life. You can read more about my reflection on lfe, training science and psychology on my site curiousbarbell.com :)
I love engaging in deep conversations about life and creative ideas with curious human beings, with people who are open-minded and willing to render themselves vulnerable to build meaningful relationships. I'm also interested in learning more about meditation and excited to meet people who are also on their self-discovery journey.
Now living nomadically with my partner Paul https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/pmillerd, and look forward to meeting like-minded individuals to build a meaningful community together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe people who are on couch surfing and backpack around the world are more willing to step out of their comfort zone and challenge traditional ways of living. I met amazing couch surfers while experimenting with nomad life in Chiang Mai, Thailand for a month and am very excited to meet more amazing people here :)
Interests
I LOVE training! I often explore local gyms while traveling to meet powerlifters from around the world. I am also trying to learn more about ideas that can help me understand how we construct our identity, conceptual framework and reality. There' s nothing more wonderful than sharing what drives us forward in the journey of self-discovery with someone from the other side of the world who looks completely different from me :) I love biking, walking, tanning on the beach or in the park, reading or chatting over tea of coffee. I don't really enjoy alcohol or party:P
