About Me

Hello! Nice to meet you, who is currently viewing my profile :)
My name is Stacey (Jiawei) Yu, from mainland China.
Speaking Chinese, Spanish and English.

2023-2024 lived in Spain (Valencia) , I spent half of each month learning Spanish in institution and the other half traveling to other European countries.

2024 - Feb 2025 with two backpacks 22kg [lived] in my spiritual home Latin America.

After come back to China in Feb 2025, I decided to work for a while and Currently, my job is as an overseas representative for the Latin American region. And yes, I can go back to Latin America sometimes but for business travel, now I really miss Europe! I really miss Spain! I really miss my world friends!

I'm really interested in traveling and exploring special area of cities. New things and challenges always make me feel excited and curious! I also love to know more things about culture, language, that's why I keep traveling and learning Spanish in Spain but not in my country.
And in my regular daily, I like to do sport such as go to gym, swim, hike and climb(indoor), and I'm a big fan of sunbath! I really like sun🌞!

And I'm so glad to meet so many nice-minded people from the world✌️!!

Un saludo!🍻

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is all about people:)
I have lived in Europe for one year , it was my first time to live abroad from Asia, after I had quitted my job and had been fatigued by staying with so much people in China who are anxious all the time and are obsessed with working working extremely but not thinking about taking a breath.
They told me that following the crowd’s path is the only way to have a smooth life. They told me I would be unemployed forever and doomed after taking a gap year in Spain, they told me I must get married soon, or it would never be possible.
I never believed them.

I really eager to meet people who have their own worldview, I really wanna see the other side of the world and of the life, so that I could trust more firmly that the world not just operate as those people said.

I am a photographer with my Phone to record the beautiful and energetic moments. It is amazing thing that be a backpacker, and I always thanks Couchsurfing helps me find different good friends here.

————- what i think recently—————-

Sometimes you have to step away from what feels like the only path in front of you. That’s how you discover different ways to live, keep new possibilities open, and let real surprises happen.
And when you keep pushing back against reality long enough, things that once felt way out of reach might finally start to show up in your life — even just a little.
