About Me

Hello! I'm Kev

A curious soul who believes that the best way to understand the world is through people and their stories.

After leaving my job, I’ve embarked on an half year open-ended journey to explore, learn, and connect deeply with local cultures. I’m not just passing through places—I want to immerse myself in them, whether it’s wandering through lesser-known neighborhoods, or simply listening to how people live and dream.

From 1th.Sep I started in Yunnan province 🇨🇳 to Laos 🇱🇦 by train and then went to Thailand 🇹🇭- Vietnam 🇻🇳 - Indonesia 🇮🇩- United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪- Jordan 🇯🇴 - Egypt 🇪🇬- Turkey 🇹🇷- Albania 🇦🇱- Serbia 🇷🇸- Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦 now and plan to Azerbaijan 🇦🇿- Georgia 🇬🇪 - Armenia 🇦🇲 later. After that I will go to Iran 🇮🇷 then back to Beijing 🇨🇳

I really appreciate all the people I met in this journey, all they are unique like prism which let me reflect myself and learn from them a lot. I’m not the one who live in the future anymore but live in the present, present is the best present:)

I think travel like a local and make friends with them is the most beautiful thing I touch the world. I hope I can be a magnate to attract different energies and share them to others. I think we all will be grow up together!

I’m also documenting my travels through writing and photos everyday ( it’s already more than 100 diaries now haha), hoping to turn these memories into a personal book one day—a tribute to the incredible people I meet along the way and will sent to them by a little gift.

I like meaningful conversations, outdoors adventures, museums, nature, walking, park, monuments, lake, train, sunset, gym, meditation, architecture, politics, geography, hiking…and I want to learn surfing, yoga, climbing, martial arts…

I like low budget travel, I think it will observe the world more real. Someone are smiling to you because you showing your bank card but you should cherish the person who want to help you and make friends with you even though you looks like a poor guy:) money can buy a lot of things but also can buy a superficial sense and fake hospitality:) But trust me I’m very generous for my host and friends that’s my travel philosophy.

Life is hard, let’s play it harder!✨

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me, travel has never been just about checking landmarks off a list. It’s about the people I meet, the stories we share, and the unexpected ways we inspire each other.

I joined Couchsurfing because I believe the most meaningful experiences happen when we connect—whether it’s over a cup of coffee, a walk through your favorite neighborhood, or a conversation that lasts into the night. I want to learn from your perspective, your culture, and your everyday life, and I hope I can offer you something in return: a story, a moment, or maybe a new way of seeing something familiar.

I’m here for real exchanges and genuine encounters. Let’s share not just space, but ideas, dreams, and a little bit of our worlds.😄

eg: I registered Couchsurfing in 2016 but I didn’t use it until this year haha, I just downloaded it in2016 but didn’t have the time to travel so I deleted it afterwards , then the COVID-19 pandemic let me 5 years didn’t traveled until this trip. So I’m a beginner to the community and after I finish my trip I will host others for giving the positive energy relay!♾️🤞

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m deeply drawn to humanities and social science books, thought-provoking art-house films, documentaries that reveal unseen worlds, and food shows that explore culture through flavor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I nuded in the minus 30 Celsius Baikal lack
-I lost from the world for 3days in North Korean
-I surfing by myself after the third days learning and almost dead by a off shore tide in Bali

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I’m absolutely passionate about learning languages—it’s like holding a key to a new world. If you want I would be delighted to teach you some Chinese! So, if you’re curious about Chinese characters, tones, or even just how to order your favorite dish, I’m your person:)

I’m a bad cooker sometimes but I try to make some Chinese food for my host in the trip but most of the time we can’t find enough Chinese food and seasonings in the local supermarket so most of the time I do a fusion dish 🤣

I like gym and doing it more than 10years, I think I’m always an amateur but I have six packs :) I can teach you some basic exercises and skill for improving your fitness.

Learn:
I really want to learn the local culture and history when I arrive in a new place that’s the reason the local museum always my first destination. But history is a subjective thing and I don’t want to be immersed in propaganda so learn from the local is an interesting alternative way.

I really admire the people who have a lot of outdoor adventures experience. For me I want to be a confident and ambitious guy in front of the nature~ So if you are the one please give me some advices for survival in the wild 🤪

Share:
I really like to share my trip’s experience and stories for others and can’t wait to do something we are all unfamiliar with. That’s will be interesting for me because I think we can jump out of our comfort zones to explore ourselves and share the new experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

With a backpack full of stories and a heart full of curiosity, I believe the greatest treasure from my travels is the people I've met along the way.

I'd love to share my adventures and passions with you!I have a wealth of experiences to draw from, and I'm always happy to share them over a good meal or a cup of tea.

But for me, the most rewarding part of connecting is the conversation that goes deeper. I truly believe that a genuine exchange of ideas, perspectives, and dreams can spark inspiration for both of us. I'm not just looking for a place to sleep; I'm hoping for meaningful conversations that leave us both feeling enriched and perhaps seeing the world a little differently. Let's inspire each other!
