Hello, Couchsurfers!

I'm Yu from Japan!!
From August 2018, I quited University of Liverpool and started traveling around the world, shoot videos and photos and post them on YouTube, Instagram etc. I am trying to make money through the travel vlogging, because my biggest passion is TRAVELING!!!!I used the couch serfing many times and I absolutely love it, the way I meet local people, learn the culture and exchanging the experiences. I would be using couch serfing even if I get rich lol.

I have many stories about traveling so I like exchenging those experiences each other, and happy to teach Japanese, English and tell japanese cultures.

Through my experiences of traveling, even though there is a few negative cases, I did realise that there are soooooo many great, kind, friendly and interesting people in this world. When you travel, you can always be excited and inspired by those people and there is always someone help you, anywhere in the world. That's why I can't stop traveling and exploring. I honestly wanna keep traveling the world even when i get old haha.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I started couchserfing, I thought it is just "free accommodation matching service for travelers". However, actually it's more like the way to meet new people all over the world, make friends, exchanging stories and cultures, and so on. I really fell in love with it and since then, I've been using this for more than 2 years (in 2018).

Interests

As I said in 'About me', my biggest passion is TRAVEL. That's why I threw everything away, gave up university, left lovely life in the UK and my confortable home Japan. When I'm exploring new places I've never been before, I'm more excited than doing anything else, meeting new people and new cultures are the best thing in my life. I have really limited amount of money so I can't afford hotels or safe traveling but I dont care! I even prefer staying in couch surfing or hostels rather than boring hotels.

I also like drinking, playing pool(Billiard), hitchhike, watching football (I support Arsenal), talking about business and so on.

I listen to rock musics and EDM! My favourite artist is Skrillex, going to his live is one of my dream. I really love him.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hitchhiked for twise in Japan, twise in Vietnam. I've met so many troubles in south east asia, but overall i really enjoyed that experience.

I've been to India for 2 weeks with my buddy Jun and for me it was most entertaining country in the world.

HOWEVER, the most amazing thing I've ever done should be my hitchhiking travel in the whole UK for almost 1 month. Before summer holiday of uni, I and my friend Laura started to hitchhike around UK with the board saying "Anywhere"!! In total, we've got over 50 lifts and met soooooo any great people and beautiful places(You never expect how beautiful the UK is, get out from cities and go to country sides and camp in middle of nowhere!!!). If you host me or meet me up, I wanna tell many great stories about this travel experience.

I used to study Business Management in Liverpool, England.
Even though I quited the uni I still have big interests in business, but basically, I like learning anything!!!

What I can teach could be Japanese, English and Japanese culture. Now I have to learn how to vlog, editing, and photo shooting.
