Overview
About Me
Happy Couchsurfing everyone. My name is Yuanching Liao and Johnny is fine if you find my Chinese name is not easy to pronounce. I enjoy talking to people and making friends from different backgrounds. A little tip here...you shouldn't contact me if you are not gay friendly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Basically like why you are here too. I want to see different cultures, meet different people by surfing or hosting people.
Interests
Traveling, cooking, volunteering, swaping stories with people. Recently I started pencil sketching and finding it fun.
Music, Movies, and Books
Dont really have preference for music, I listen to all kinds, however classic and pop are sort of my favorites.
There are really a lot to talk about when it comes to movies. I don't like fictional really. I enjoy true stories based on history and romance but of course with touching elements. Some documentaries get my attention too
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This happened in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia while I was backpacking there. It was on Christmas day, so after having the Christmas lunch hosted by the city government. Me and 3 friends were too boried so we decided to play a game. We teamed up 2 vs 2 and attempted to hitch hike to the aiport, the team that first made the trip and back to the hostel won. It was so exciting although Issy and I got lost, yet we enjoyed the game and the adventure. In the beginning a woman stopped but she could only take us to a point on the highway then we had to hitch hike again ON THE HIGHWAY NO KIDDING. The next generous man stopped for us who was only in Hobart for less than 12 hours to celebrate Christmas with family and he was on his way back to Melbourne, when I looked at his eyes from the reflection of the front mirror, I felt his sadness. The interesting happening was that the driver that offered the ride to the other team had a crush on the Anna and he kept texting her since the then. Although my team lost, I am so proud of us making it.
