ABOUT ME
I like interesting conversation, thunderstorms, and stained glass windows. I'm always ready to try new foods, however strange. Most of all, I enjoy meeting people from all corners of the world!
PHILOSOPHY
"The growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs." --George Eliot ("Middlemarch")
"Table Talk
Granted, we die for good.
Life, then, is largely a thing
Of happens to like, not should.
And that, too, granted, why
Do I happen to like red bush,
Grey grass and green-gray sky?
What else remains? But red,
Gray, green, why those of all?
That is not what I said:
Not those of all. But those.
One likes what one happens to like.
One likes the way red grows.
It cannot matter at all.
Happens to like is one
Of the ways things happen to fall."
--Wallace Stevens
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm fairly new to the CS community, but I've already enjoyed meeting some amazing people. I love the trust network and the opportunity to experience new places with local people. I hope I can give back as a host after I graduate. In the meantime, I'm happy to meet up with people in Boston (or Chicago when I'm home).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had a great time in London with my first host, Grisha. I love the idea of CS and seeing the world through different lens. The enthusiasm is contagious. I recently surfed in July in Edinburgh and Amsterdam.

What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversation sounds simple but it's hard to come by! I can share a genuine interest in your life, and I think you will learn a lot from me thoughts on philosophy, art, literature, business, and pop culture.
I'm also pretty good with impromptu Chinese meals. Cooking together is one of my favorite pastimes, either for a casual night or a social gathering.
Finally, I love to take and edit photos. I've taken travel photos, portraits, and even engagement photos. I'm happy to share them with you on Facebook or Dropbox!
