Couchsurfing got me out of a tough spot one night when I messed up my travel arrangements and found myself stranded. I was so surprised by how generously strangers responded to me in my moment of need--the experience immediately made me a couchsurfing convert. I want to be able to pay that generosity forward for other travelers out there. I am also excited by the possibility of enriching my future travel experiences through meaningful connections with locals...
