Curious about the world, I like new things and meeting new people. That is one reason that I came to Norway as an exchange student. By making friends from different countries and cultures, I got to know how big the world is. There is so much to learn, to see, and to love. I am the only child in my family, but my parents always tell me how important sharing is. I am friendly, enthusiastic, honest, and love sharing. Life is sure like a journey, sometimes I travel alone, but I hope I can make friends during the trip. I like everything clean, tidy, and well organized. Besides, I am good at cooking Chinese food!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As an exchange student, I have time to travel around the world. I believe the true meaning of travel does not lie in how many places you have been, but how that place has brought you. Talking with local people is one efficient way to know the culture. And I found couchsurfing helpful for us to make new friends and get to know each other. Of course, it also saves money, especially for overseas students like me. I don't want to bring too much financial burden to my parents. So I guess couchsurfing is one way to solve the problem.

Interests

I major in British literature, which makes me read a lot. So I believe reading is what I am interested in the most. Besides, everything related to art interests me, such as music, theater, painting, and film. I like going to museums. I often spend half or even one day in the museum, just looking and enjoying those great works. I am not very good at sports, but I like seeing people do sports, and don't mind joining them. In short, I don't refuse any chance to experience new culture. So I guess I am pretty easy to get along with.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to music everyday, such as country music, classic, and jazz. It makes me feel happy and relaxed. As for movies, I don't watch thrillers. I prefer those with nice settings, nice clothes, beautiful actors, and touching plot. As for books, I read all kinds of literature, novels, poems, dramas. Ibsen, Katherine Mansfield, Yeats, Shelly, Shakespeare are my favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is amazing for me to go abroad alone. I went to America last year. It was my first time to travel alone abroad, so I have to make arrangement all by myself. And I did pretty well. I had a nice stay in U.S, and met interesting people.
