About Me
CURRENT MISSION
As a study abroad student in London for this Fall 2011 semester I intend to go on as many trips as my budget and schedule will allow me!
ABOUT ME
Oh god I hate these things. Well, I'm pretty much a crazy, silly, semi awkward, bizarre, weird, fun-seeking, thrill-addicted, geeky little dork. I drink, I smoke, I'll try anything once (except heroin), and I'm constantly on the lookout for things that will invigorate my soul, inspire my senses, and make me feel alive in general. Oh, and pardon the overly-dramatic use of words. I'm aspiring to be some kind of a writer (ideally for film or TV) so yeah, you'll see me write like this and talk in a similar fashion.
PHILOSOPHY
1) Shit happens.
2) Even if shit happens, have the maturity, decency, and common courtesy to take responsibility for the shit you got yourself into.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had couch surfers at my apartment before, but it was my roommate at the time who had the Couchsurfing.org profile so she was technically the hostess. It was definitely an interesting experience! I met a nice young couple from Germany, I was able to teach them even just a little bit about Chicago, and from my conversations with them I got to know even just a little bit about the culture they came from. I'd definitely host again now that I have my own profile, and I'm very excited to be a couch surfer as well!
Interests
writing, reading, movies, anime, cartoons, TV dramas, sitcoms, crime dramas, medical dramas, books, cooking, cuisine, wine, travel, history, culture, pop culture, cult movies, fiction, art
I can go on, but pretty much as long as it peaks my curiosity anything I come across has the potential to become an interest of mine.

Music, Movies, and Books
Please. Don't even get me started. I actually want to finish updating this profile before the end of business hours today. I'm easy enough to talk to so find out that way! :D
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1) During my visit to Windsor when I first arrived it was foggy and dreary. I couldn't even see the castle past the gates. But then ten minutes later the fog lifted and the sunshine completely transformed everything. The castle was breathtaking. Soon after a lone car came from the castle. I didn't think anything of it until it drove through the gates and I saw an old lady in the passenger seat (which is on the left in England) in a deep blue hate and matching dress suit that look strangely familiar. It made me stop and think, so I approached the gate attendant and asked him "Excuse me sir, but...was that the Queen?" to which he replies "Yes indeed milady. That was the Queen." I was dumbfounded. My jaw dropped and my mouth was agape for so long. I started jumping up and down frantically and squealing. I was literally more or less a few yards away from the Queen if only for a few moments.
2) I visited Rome for Fall Break so of course I visited the Vatican. The Vatican Museum was amazing but the insane crowd kind of took away from the grandeur. St. Peter's Basilica, on the other hand, completely took my breath away. For ten minutes I stood on the other side of the Filarete Door at the very end of the atrium from the dead center point of view and I just stared. I was raised as a Catholic although I'm not very religious and I don't practice the ritual part of Catholicism very faithfully. But standing there at the heart of the Catholic Church made me experience a wave of emotions and a level of spiritual peace.
