About Me
ABOUT ME
I am 26 years-old Japanese graduate student in the UK, studying education and international development. Graduating this September, 2014, I'm planning to travel Europe for 2-3 weeks before returning to Japan. I like to communicate in local languages when travelling to other countries as I think it is a way of showing respect to people and their culture. So far, I have traveled several countries and realised it is the time spent with local people that I remember the most rather than visiting tourist attractions.
PHILOSOPHY
Maximising the fun, as life is short!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I became interested in couchsurfing since some of my friends started hosting people from around the world. Although I cannot accommodate at the moment, I enjoy staying with local family and sharing stories. I have so far stayed and shared time with Canadian family in Canada, Filipino family in the Philippines, and British family in the UK. I believe this is a great way of immersing myself into the local habits and culture, which I enjoy a lot. I wish to do in many parts of the world to better understand people ant their culture.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It is absolutely the first time for me to do couchsurfing . Worried a little bit, but also excited to get to know some local people, foods and their unique culture!
