Hey surfers!
I'm Yuka from Japan. I currently live in LA studying journalism at Santa Monica College, and also I went to a university in Japan majoring in English American literature. I LOVE reading books, my favorites are Agatha Cristie and Kazuo Ishiguro. For movies, I like everything but horror, not like I hate horror but I have a traumatic experience that my older brother scared the fuck me out when I was in kindergarten. I should try it again though.

Oh, my dream is to travel around the world while working on my laptop. I am a writer who writes a bunch of articles for Japanese companies, but I don't think that it's enough to travel around so currently, I am learning how to graphic design.

I have to go back to Japan unless I get a job here (which is quite impossible for me,) so I want to visit as many cities as I can in the United States. That is one of the reasons I started Couch Surfing. It would be more than great if I can make some friends here who will be my new reason to come back to the United States even after I go back to Japan!
