About Me

I'm a curious and open minded person who's interested in travelling and meeting people.

Unfortunately or fortunately I travel often for work and private, leaving little time at home. As a result, I have seemingly few friends and I appear often on hangout.

I never say no to a good walk or a good conversation.

You will rarely see me pulling out my smartphone or exchanging contacts. I miss the time before the internet and people used to talk to each other. Awkward silences won't kill you and it's ok we can't stay in touch. Having said that, I have pen pals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because there are so many interesting and crazy people here.

Once I stayed with a couch surfing host who's a satanist and talked to me while playing with a knife. Did I judge him? Absolutely yes. Did I enjoy it? Absolutely not. But hey, that's couch surfing.

Interests

I enjoy BEER, company of animals, karaoke, drag queens, contemporary art, hiking, foreign films, photography and dancing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing that forever changed my life is visiting Hawaii with my family when I was 7. I knew then that I have to leave Japan and move to Hawaii. When I was 17 I tried to move to Hawaii but ended up in Seattle and fell in love with the city. So I moved to Vancouver to plan my move down to Seattle but I never left Canada and stayed there for 6 years. In short, it's not a waste to take your small kids on a vacation abroad!

Teach, Learn, Share

If you speak Italian, you may be forced to speak in Italian with me.

I love cooking using local ingredients I don't know yet and would love to learn new dishes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you casino strategies, improve your Tinder profile,or solve your IT problems.

You can ask me anything about Japan but it's possible you know much more about the country.
