About Me

Hi there! I'm Yuko. I have experienced amazing travel through CS, and I believe this is great opportunity to know country, and people and locals well.
I am passionate about interacting and living like local people and exchange ideas and food with them! Many experiences living abroad, traveling, wwoofing and couchsurfing make my life colorful:)

Passions Food: I used to work in a plant breeding company in Japan, in rural development project in the Philippines, and currently living in Germany and studying Organic Agriculture - I love organic foods, regional cultivated food and people around these food systems. My goal is to be in a part of building sustainable food systems.

Passions Nature: I am nature lover especially water sites - since I was born in the pacific ocean costal area with two dogs rescued in the coast. Swimming, surfing, sun shine, dogs and trees makes me happy from the bottom of my heart. Hiking, jogging in a forest, doing Yoga are my favorite things to do in Germany. I played Volleyball for 6 years, Yosakoi dancing ( japanese traditional dance) for 3 years.

Passions Culture: Socio-cultural aspects, history, antholopology and also politics are my high interest. Visiting museums, listening podcasts and reading books about these topics are what I do in my spare time. CS is one of the best and wonderful way to know how local people live - I do enjoy a lot!

Passions language: I am native Japanese speaker, speaks English fluently, Filipino Waray-waray (regional language in one of the island in the Philippines), and a beginner of German (studying for a year). I work as an online Japanese tutor, so I am happy to share my language and culture, and i would love to improve my German too!

I am looking forward to seeing you soon! :)
