About Me

My current mission is to explore myself through exploring the world and meeting interesting people. I am also patriotic and want to contribute to the well being of my motherland Ukraine which is transforming right now from Post Soviet State to the European one. My education and career are also very important for me because I am the first generation in my family who had the possibility to study at university. There are two things that I strongly believe in. The first one is that life is a boomerang and you will be paid back for both good and wrong. The second one is that smile is universal. You can not speak the language, don't know nothing about the country, traditions, people and so on but just keep smiling and be open to new experiences. Couchsurfing, hithiking and so on show that there are far more good people in this world as we used to think.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Coucnsurfing is not about saving money but about the emotions. The real charm of the city comes with spending time with people who live in this place. Their experiences, feelings, and small secrets that they share with you are the things that you take back from every journey. Before I was on couchsurfing only as a "user". It means I was looking here for people who can host me or show the city (thanks to everyone who did it for me!) but now I finally have some free time and I will be able as well to show you incredible Kyiv (I am not able to host you unfortunately). Once upon a time a friend of mine come for a visit from Switzerland to Ukraine, I agreed to show him Kyiv and I loved it! I understood that it makes me happy to share my knowledges about city and country with foreigners. I have the possibility to meet interesting people and contribute to the positive image of my country abroad. I will be glad to tell you more about my country and the city I live in and I will be really happy if you come back home with positive impressions about my country because Ukraine it's not only war, annexed Crimea, corruption and bad politicians it's first of all old history, interesting culture, delicious cuisine and sincere people. I am not into partying so much but if you are interested to discover all the hystorical and cultural places and have a local guide in Kyiv, you are welcome! I work a lot during the week, so I am mainly able to show you Kyiv on Saturday.
