About Me
CURRENT MISSION + ABOUT ME
I'm Yulia, a 30-year-old creative professional who is spending 2019 on the road around the US, working remotely from cities and town on my bucket list. I run a small marketing agency which allows me to do my work from a laptop anywhere there is a wifi signal.
My 3-year-old pup, Milo Wigglesworth, is traveling with me. He is a sweetheart and loves having his paws covered in mud or sand, wherever we go.
I find great delight in exploring nature, reading outdoors, baking healthy goodies, twisting in a yoga pose, attempting to learn salsa, photographing my food, sunbathing on all the lovely beaches I come across and enjoying some stillness.

PHILOSOPHY
Wealth should be defined by experiences, not things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In my 20s, I've surfed and hosted (mostly unofficially) many times and have the best memories. But the last few years I meanly stuck with Airbnb for convenience and because I have a dog now. But I'm trying to dust off this old account of mine and connect with incredible humans while I'm traveling across the US (mainly the West Coast)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It all began with a dream to visit Costa Rica - the rest is history... The world has no visible boundaries, only those made by people. Couchsurfing erases all traces of them and bonds all humanity together. It's a community unlike any other. I'm honored and grateful to be a part!

Music, Movies, and Books
Simple things... children's laughter, rolling of the thunder, bird songs, humming of a distant highway, steel drums, and a little acoustic guitar.
Books are everything! From classics to the entire NY Best Sellers of today. Malcolm Gladwell, Yuval Harari, Brene Brown, Seth Godin, Simon Sinek, Liz Gilbert, Tim Ferris, Adam Grant, and so many more... Just read Jen Sincero's Badass books, and loved Becoming by Michelle Obama.
Do not own a TV, don't want one. Guilty of hacking my sisters HBO Go just to watch GOT (guilty pleasure, but I read the books and they will never be finished, so what a girl to do!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Got rid of everything I ever owned, left home and became a nomad... 4 months and counting :D
Teach, Learn, Share
This may be a no-brainer, but life is so precious. It makes me sad to see so many people do wasteful, insignificant things that count for nothing and bring no fulfillment. You only live once, make it count. Instead of wasting the moment, appreciate it! Find beauty and peace in your current state, whatever it may be. Life is way too short to live with regrets, sadness, anger or unrealized dreams.
Don't be afraid to fall or fail. We learn from our faults, it's a special process. Embrace it and try try try. You don't want to be that guy/girl who says they wished they did.
I want to learn how to let go completely. This is a skill I've yet to master and would like to cross off my bucket list sooner than later.
