Hi, CS community! I'm a bit new to CS but I do think this would be a very rewarding experience therefore I feel excited to be here. I currently study at University of California at Berkeley. I'm hoping to meet locals through this community in my upcoming travels.

I’m majoring in civil and environmental engineering, geosystem program. I’ve already had an experience working in mining industries for years.Even though I work in STEM, I'm also very keen on video game development and arts, especially drawing illustrations, sketches, and mangas in my spare time.

For those of you who are into MBTI, I am an ENTP. Though extraverted, I also enjoy my time alone, brainstorming on my video game design. I enjoy playing video games whenever I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just like the rest of us here, I also love meeting new people and would love to be able to get to know as many different cultures. I love Japan so much and I’ve been there 4 times. Even though I’m now in the US, I’m still trying my best to get to Japan, thousands miles away from here lol. I still hope to be able to chat with different people from all walks of life through this community!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm particularly into classical music, progressive metal, bossanova, and generally rock music, but I do listen to different genres as well. Dream Theater, Radiohead, A7X, L'arc-en-ciel, and Chopin are particularly my faves. But for the past 8 years, Japanese and anime music are my most favorite!

I watch different genres but mostly thriller, horror, mindblowing, and anime. Some of my favorites include The Wailing, Nolan's movies, American Psycho, and Se7en. But I'm also into dramas and animal movies as well - oftentimes I cry whenever watching animal movies, lol.

I read more mangas these days. My favourites include One Piece, Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen, Bleach, and other Shonen Jump mangas. I do read novels as well when I have the time, my fave includes Pachinko and all Murakami’s books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was doing geological fieldwork back in my undergrad, I climbed waterfalls and cliffs to perform a field mapping. That was honestly one of the times I felt pretty impressed about myself as I had to force myself out of comfort zone, mentally, physically, and emotionally even.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing my pop culture preferences from games, movies, mangas, and so on. Also if you're by any chance a geology/engineering/civil/geotech nerd, I can share a thing or two about how to find good ores, where to find gold, or any cool gemstones you might have never seen. And if you want to know how to cook a good curry using a microwave only, I'm the person to talk to!
