About Me

I am Yulin, CHEN, a 22-year-old Taiwanese student who is studying Japanese in ECC Language School, Nagoya. I LOVE photography, cooking, drawing, reading and BACKPACKING.

I will be the exchange student in NUCB, Nagoya in 2016 spring; and in AIU, Akita in 2016 fall and 2017 spring. I hope during these 19 months in Japan I am able to have fluent Japanese and much more open-minded attitude towards the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I LOVE to talk and share ideas with different kinds of people on my journey. For me, Couchsurfing is definitely a way to have deeper interaction with local people there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In August, 2014, I rent a bike and travel in Taiwan on my own(My mom even didn't know in advance) for 7 days from Taipei to Kaoshiung. It's my first time to travel alone and be a backpacker. During the journey, I met lots of travelers from Taiwan and Hongkong, and some of them even become my close friends afterwards.

This experiences influence me a lot, and teach me not to be afraid of staying alone: We are not the only people who travel alone, and it's possible to gain unforgettable stories in the journey.

Teach, Learn, Share
