Overview
About Me
I'm an avid rock climber and salsa enthusiast, originally from China, and currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark (since 2018). I'm pursuing a Ph.D. in precision medicine for cancer patients, with the goal of enhancing their quality of life and extending their lifespan.
I believe that mental health significantly influences physical health, when your mental well-being is compromised, your body tends to reflect that. I try to encourage people near me to prioritise their need, and their happiness. This emphasis on self-care is not about neglecting others; rather, one can care more deeply for others when their own well-being is prioritised.
I've been journaling for over 15 years. This personal ritual serves as a reflective mirror, helping me understand myself, navigate my emotions, and build connections with others.
A few fun facts about me:
1. I've been relocating on average every five years so far (though before I was an adult it wasn't my decision but my parents').
2. My right foot is one-size bigger than my left foot. Sometimes I wish there's a person has the opposite issue so we could share two pair of the same shoes but different size.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have a genuine appreciation for people and I value the authentic connections. Traveling to a new city feels somewhat incomplete to me without the presence of local connections. I believe everyone has stories worth hearing, and I'm happy to share mine. I might bring experiences that offer support or relief for you.
